What Are Virtual Office Solutions?

What Are Virtual Office Solutions? | 580 Executive Center

A virtual office solution is a service that allows business owners and remote workers to work from anywhere by providing a range of business services. It also enables companies to create and maintain a space in a certain location without the need to pay the often high costs of rent for an actual office that they don’t even use. For example, a tech company that runs out of Indiana might want to have an address in San Francisco, to give them more of a trustworthy “tech-y” reputation to potential clients and investors.

A virtual office allows you to have many of the perks of a physical office but without any actual space that you don’t even need. So what comes along with a virtual office solution, and why do people use them?

What does a Virtual Office provide?

Virtual offices can mean different things for different people, depending on your needs. Generally speaking, business owners are looking for a virtual office for these two reasons:

a professional business address: this helps businesses seem a little more professional than they might otherwise be if they used their real address. If any of your clients google your business address, and it comes up as a residence, it can be unnerving for them.

On top of that, it provides you with some security so that you’re not just handing out your personal address to anyone you meet.

One of the struggles with working from home is that you have to give out your personal phone number. This isn’t ideal, especially when working with clients all over the world and in different timezones. A virtual office can provide a phone number with the area code of the area your “office” is in, along with a voicemail box that forwards messages to your personal phone.

you might not have access to a ‘full-time’ desk, but you can at least arrange meetings in these places too.

These are just some of the things provided by virtual office providers, but as I said before, virtual offices can mean different things for different people. When you start researching virtual offices in your desired area, ask about the options available. Some might even be able to provide you with an actual coworking space that you can utilize several times a month, or whenever you’re in town.

The idea for virtual offices came about because of the need for businesses to function remotely using our growing internet technology for communication. The introduction of Skype, Facetime, cloud based platforms and many other advances has empowered business owners to break free from the costs of renting office space, which used to be a given for any company.

This remote option has allowed small businesses the ability to hire outside of big cities, lower their day to day costs and yet still look professional. For many businesses, a professional address is irrelevant, but for some industries, it makes a real difference. For those industries, virtual offices are the perfect solution.
