You’ve decided you want a virtual office, but now you don’t know how to find one. Well, good news: we’re here to help. With the rise in telecommuting and working from home, there are new virtual offices springing up all over. Here are some tips for finding a virtual office that works for you.
Google (or other search engines)
If you are reading this blog than you probably could have assumed this one, but many people do not. As with most questions these days, the first (and often best) option is to do a Google search. The search engine algorithms are constantly being tweaked in order to ensure you get the most relevant and appropriate local results on every search. Sometimes you may have to look a few pages into the search results to find your answer, but it never hurts to begin with Google (or another search engine, if you prefer).
Yelp has risen to popularity as a place for users to leave reviews and check-in to their favorite restaurants and stores, but it also provides helpful reviews on businesses of any kind – including virtual offices. Search on Yelp for virtual offices in your area, and in addition to reviews, you can get pictures, links to the office website, and even driving directions.
Colleagues or business associates
Sometimes, you need an expert opinion – and who better to tell you about virtual offices than those who use them? Ask your business associates if they or anyone they know have used virtual offices. What did they like? What did they dislike? Even if they can’t give you a recommendation on a good virtual office, they might still be able to provide insight on what makes a successful or unsuccessful virtual office experience.
